Job Description:
Essential Functions
- Provide support to cross-functional technical teams as required
to execute test plans including
- coordination and installation of test assemblies.
- Ensure test materials and assemblies are properly installed and
prepared at test laboratories by
- assisting in assembly preparation, witnessing, and supervising
testing.
- Collaborate with the project management, design, product
development, and technical teams to
- prepare test specimen drawings and material bills needed for
mockup construction.
- Prepares production orders for required materials and follows
up with operations and project
- management teams until its arrival at the test laboratory.
- Properly document and take detailed notes on the behaviors of
the test specimen and critical
- components.
- Communicate with third-party testing facilities to design test
plans, produce and supply
- materials, install testing assemblies, and test panels
according to specified test standards in a
- timely manner.
- Analyze and examines test results, detect issues and track root
causes of test specimen
- performance. Provide feedback to cross-functional technical
teams.
- Collaborates in the construction of test mockups for internal
testing.
- Assists Product Development and Certifications teams with
assigned duties as necessary.
- Comply with all safety and company policies and
procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and

- Technical knowledge to understand and effectively communicate
design, technical information building codes and standards, and
approval requirements in an understandable manner
- Self-starter with a proven record of innovation,
problem-solving, and delivering technical solutions in a timely
manner
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage
multiple projects at once and be ableto prioritize by importance,
schedule, and necessity
- Ability to communicate with vendors, test facilities, and
certification agencies to develop testprograms and scheduling
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications,
submittals, technical and contractdocuments, building codes, and
test standards.
- Must be reliable, dependable, and highly motivated with a
desire to be successful.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to use tools commonly found in the construction field
such as measuring tapes, powerdrills, electric saws, grinders,
shears, etc.
- Ability to read, write, type, and verbally communicate
effectively in English.Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical
Engineering
- Experience using AutoCAD, Inventor or Solidworks is a plus
- Excellent time management skills with ability to manage
multiple projects at once and be able to prioritize by importance,
schedule and necessity.
- Must be able to effectively use a computer and have
intermediate proficiency MS Excel, MS Word, and email and basic
proficiency in the rest of MS Office.
- Travel (by car, plane or other methods of transportation): Up
to 50%
- Maintain a valid driver's license and
passportSalary:$70,000-$82,500 based on experiencePhysical
Requirements
- Travel within the US and Canada will be required. Locations
include but are not limited to, other AWIP facilities, test labs,
and vendor facilities.
- Ability to use tools commonly found in the construction field
such as measuring tapes, power drills, electric saws, grinders,
shears, etc.
- Ability to install and assist in the installation of AWIP
products.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment with
extreme temperatures and outdoor exposure at times.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with
attention to detail.
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Must be reliable, dependable, and highly motivated with a
desire to be successful.
- Ability to work 8 hours per day with the ability to work
overtime as needed to complete time-sensitive tasks.
- Ability to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods. Must be
able to bend, lift, twist, reach, grasp, and other physical
movements.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs
- Must have visual acuity, discernment of color and texture, and
finger dexterityWorking Environment:While performing the duties of
this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving
mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high-noise environments,
chemicals used in the process, and extreme temperatures. The
