that's built for you. What does this role look like? The Terminal
High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program is looking for a
motivated Propulsion Engineer to join the team. This individual
will work in a dynamic team environment which oversees the full
life cycle of the THAAD Boost Rocket Motor. THAAD is a cutting-edge
missile defense system that protects our nation and its allies from
ballistic missile threats. As an Propulsion Engineer you will have
the technical responsibility for the Boost Rocket motor redesign
project and will collaborate across organizations to help meet
safety, schedule, and cost. Scope of responsibility will include: -
Collaborate with a team of Propulsion Engineers which involves open
communication between customers and the team. The high level of
responsibility will provide developmental, growth and mentorship
opportunities to help you advance in your career. - Technical
management and recommendation for the Boost Rocket Motors, where
you will partner to work root cause analysis, engage in vendor
support/relationship building, and redesign project support. - Use
strong collaboration skills that can accommodate our various
partners across differing geographic locations. - Direct and manage
analytical support tasks in support of hardware action items -
Collaborate with subcontract management to provide technical
support, provide and participate in mentorship opportunities and
professional development, all while serving as a technical
interface to THAAD management, systems engineering, quality, and
our customer counterparts. Basic Qualifications - Experience with
Solid Rocket Motor production support, integration, and/or
qualification of hardware components - Experience as a hardware
owner (such as Certified Principal Engineer: CPE or Subject Matter
Expert: SME, etc) - Combination of experience in: engineering
project management, supplier management, annual budget proposals,
technical evaluations, tracking and development of cost/schedule -
Exposure to or participation with failure investigations, root
cause analysis, and/or corrective action disposition - Ability to
obtain or maintain a DoD Secret Clearance; US citizenship is
required Desired skills -Experience with SRM composites including
nozzle and case - Familiarity with SRM test and/or performance
characteristics including propellant burn rate, thrust curves, etc
- Missile and/or aerospace related education or experience -
Experience with THAAD processes and products - Risk and opportunity
experience with an understanding of continuous improvement concepts

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be
performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work
Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of
alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our
employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day
work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules
provide employees with additional time away from the office and are
in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Security Clearance
Information This position requires a government security clearance,
you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Pay Rate: The annual
base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts,
and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado,
Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont,
Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not
referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect
the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary
information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers
factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of
the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key
skills as well as market and business considerations when extending
an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life

applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at

Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually;
receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave,
and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the
calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible. Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major
metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is
$98,300 - $170,315. For states not referenced above, the salary
range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work
