The position will be based in Vacaville, we do require our team
to live in the area. Weekends & Evenings Required! No
exceptions.

SUMMARY -Sunrise is a thriving Banquet & Event Venue located in
Vacaville, CA. We host a wide variety of events ranging from
Weddings & Quinceaneras to Corporate Meetings & Community Galas.

The ideal candidate will exhibit high standards, excellent
communication skills, and have an ability to take initiative, and
prioritize daily tasks. As Event Operations Manager you must be
present for and oversee all events in order to ensure a high level
of guest satisfaction and seamless event coordination. You will
ensure everything is accounted for before, during, & after each
event.
You will serve as liaison and contact person for coordinating
details of events with clients, outside vendors, meeting planners,
chefs, decorators, DJs and others.
This is a salaried Position and although your schedule revolves
around our events, expect to consistently work 40-60 hours a week.
Sunrise provides an exciting and Dynamic work environment so don't
expect to be tethered to your desk - especially during events when
you will be on your feet constantly. You will be working 2-3
weekdays in order to effectively complete administrative tasks and
plan for events. The remainder of your work schedule will be on
Friday, Saturday, & Sundays during the events themselves (6pm -
midnight typically).There is room for growth in this company; this

forward in your career! - -RESPONSIBILITIES
PLANNING & COORDINATION
- Liaise with and manage all communication with each in-house
vendor/department - DJs, Decorators, Caterers, Photobooth, etc. in
order to ensure seamless coordination -
- Design, confirm, and communicate room layouts and set-up
requirements for events using Social Tables. Ability to physically
assist with Setups will be required if needed.
- Oversee Setup Technician and direct them on daily tasks and
duties, including linen laundry, janitorial needs, and maintenance
needs.
- Review inventories and place orders for supplies as
needed.
- Prepare weekly staff schedules and Complete Payroll on a
biweekly basis
- Conduct 'Final Details' meetings with Sales Coordinator and
clients before each event.
- Ensure client files are up to date and all details are
accurately reflected in our system; update relevant parties with
changes as they arise
- Offer detailed and timely distribution of all Banquet Event
Orders, which outline all final inclusions for events so as to
ensure smooth event operations.
- Manage Catering menus and team needs (Food signage, Food
Tastings, etc.)
EVENT RESPONSIBILITIES - First to arrive and last to leave
- Ensure every detail for the event is ready
- Control lighting, AV equipment, etc. and ensure ballroom is
event ready when the event starts
- Direct Staff (bartenders, servers, dishwashers, security, etc.)
upon arrival and ensure all team members are completing tasks and
providing guests with exceptional service
- Manage issues during the event if/as they arise
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure their needs are
addressed/anticipated
- Manage staff after the event and ensure ballrooms are tidy and
ready according to client needs and upcoming events
- Close out files upon event completion and ensure financials are
accurate.
CLIENT & STAFF INTERACTION
- Work closely with Administrative Assistant and Sales
Coordinator to ensure seamless event planning experience both
internally with the team and externally with clients & 3rd party
vendors.
- Be smartly dressed in appropriate attire Promote a positive and
professional manner at all times -
- Assist in building strong relations with Sunrise staff, partner
hotel teams, and outside agencies/vendors.
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards by
developing & follow checklist
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company
standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, and thank
guests with genuine appreciation.
- Onboard new hires & maintain organized staff files
IDEAL CANDIDATES:
- Proven management experience in events, catering and/or
hospitality operations is required
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and perform a wide
variety of tasks over the course of the workday; must be accurate
and conscientious.
- Excellent oral and written communication/interpersonal
skills
- Well-organized and responsible with a Strong attention to
detail and appreciation for high standards
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office & Social Tables &
Tripleseat)
- A team player with a high level of dedication to collective
success.
- Strong background in negotiation and customer service skills
required. An aptitude in rapid problem-solving will be an
asset
- Ability to read, write, and speak English [Spanish, Punjabi,
and Hindi are highly desired]
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in
business administration, hospitality management, or similar
applicable field. *A combination of education and experience will
