Title: Director of Software Architecture
Location: Elk Grove, CA - Hybrid with 3 days onsite per week
Duration: Direct Hire/FTE
Compensation: $180,000 - $190,000 base +25% Bonus + RSU
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the US

Position Summary:
The Director, Technology & Software Development will lead new product development and product enhancement, as well as managing team members responsible for development and enhancement of business applications. Strong business acumen and managerial skills are a must in this high-profile position. This person must be able to communicate the details of many ongoing and critical development items to technical and non-technical personnel and effectively interact with customers. The Director must work across all departments to help provide scope and estimates for development projects, and must be able to provide this information to staff in a timely manner and see to it that development is completed within the scope set forth by the CEO and external clients. The ability to manage, coach and mentor staff is essential.

Position Responsibilities- Other duties may be assigned: Lead a team of engineers to develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable SaaS solutions, leveraging cloud technologies and components.
Build sophisticated data pipelines for data warehouse with special emphasis on performance optimization data integrity, and data storage. Develop insights and reports both for customer and helping business making data-drive decision.
Lead a team of data scientists in leveraging data manipulation, visualization, data analytic techniques, and statistical modelling to solve complex business problems.
Manage product development lifecycle in an Agile environment, driving architecture decisions that ensure the long-term success of products, mapping out high-level design visions that allow to continually evolve and improve the products, and removing impediments on a timely basis for speed to market.
Leverage deep understanding of technology to make decisions on architecture, development tools, infrastructure, and process optimizations.
Developing and refining engineering processes for better optimization and speed
Cultivate a culture of operational and engineering excellence through enforcing best practices and fostering accountability. Leading recruitment efforts to build and maintain high-performing teams.
Setting clear goals and metrics for software development teams
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback for professional growth.
Mentoring and developing future leaders withing the technology organization

Position Requirements: Leadership experience of a team of IT Managers
Needs to be hands on with software architecture of their team
This person will be overlooking the technical team that directly handles CLIENT's software products (technical stack: Oracle, Java, Angular, Google Cloud)
Needs to have SaaS product development experience, not so much consulting work (this person will be working very closely with our IT Product Development team)

Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related field
10+ years' experience in software development and architecture
7+ years direct management of people and technical resources
Strong organizational and planning skills in an Agile environment
Knowledge of many software development technologies and tools, such as Java, Python, Angular, Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, Jira, JFrog, Blazemeter, JMeter, SonarQube, Junit, Docker, Confluence, Google Cloud and related tools, and many more.
Strong technical background with business acumen and leadership skills
Executive-level communication and presentation skills
Must be a highly collaborative and accountable leader with excellent people management skills
Strong organizational and planning skills
