Interventional Cardiology NP (inpatient and outpatient) has
clinical, procedural, administrative and educational
responsibilities in the care of patients requiring medical
management of general cardiology, procedures related to the care
and coordination of chronic care management of general cardiology
diagnoses. Responsibilities will include patient examination and
assessment, diagnosis and planning; treatment implementation,
coordination and continuity; performance of specific procedures;
development of practice protocols and evaluation of quality of
care; education of patients, families and other health care
practitioners.Th is full-time position is scheduled for five (5)
8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday.The final salary and offer
components are subject to additional approvals based on UC
policy.Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a
number of factors including your work experience and internal
equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions
that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary
range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining
agreement.The salary range for this position is $100.48 - $130.31

Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) to three (3) years related experience as a
Nurse Practitioner
- Minimum one (1) year Ambulatory Cardiology Experience or
combined experience in Ambulatory and Inpatient Cardiology
- Flexibility to work with various schedules as required
- Flexibility to orient and work at multiple clinic locations and
UCSF campusesPreferred Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year NP experience in general cardiology or
cardiology sub-specialty in an ambulatory setting.
- Minimum of one (1) year of cardiology procedural pre/post
experience
- Minimum of one (1) year Interventional Cardiology
experienceLicense/Certification
- California driver's license (CDL) if required for
position.
- Current national certification from an accepted certifying
agency and provide by first day of work.
- Accepted Certifications for this position: ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC,
ACNPC-AG, or ACNPC
- Current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in
California.
- Complete a BRN recognized graduate master's degree program as a
Nurse Practitioner.
- Complete Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration
with Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 registered to a California
address.
- Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through
credentialing by first clinical day. CCS enrollment as appropriate
for pediatric environments.
- Current AHA BLS.
- Current AHA ACLS.
- State regulation requires that you have a supervising physician
to practice.
- Incumbents with less than 6 months of NP experience will be
hired as a Nurse Practitioner 1.UCSF Medical Center and Campus
requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most
cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs &
Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and
approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days
