Job Description:
Nuclear Medicine Technologist Dominican Hospital - Santa Cruz,
CA Key Responsibilities: Prepare, calibrate, and administer
radiopharmaceuticals to patients following prescribed safety
protocols. Perform imaging procedures using gamma cameras, SPECT,
or PET systems. Conduct quality control procedures on all nuclear
medicine equipment and maintain accurate documentation. Monitor
patients for adverse reactions and provide appropriate
interventions. Maintain patient records and imaging data in the
hospital PACS/RIS systems. Ensure compliance with radiation safety
standards for patients, staff, and self. Collaborate with
physicians and other healthcare professionals to analyze and
interpret scan results. Educate patients and their families about
the procedure, risks, and post-procedure care. Participate in
departmental QA/QC activities, continuing education, and
professional development.
