Job Description Nightingale's List is seeking a travel Correctional RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for a travel job in Vacaville, California. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Duration: 24 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel California Medical Facility – Vacaville (CDCR) The Registered Dietitian (RD) at California Medical Facility in Vacaville is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing nutrition services that support the health and medical needs of the adult incarcerated population. The RD ensures compliance with California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) policies, Title 15 regulations, and evidence-based nutrition standards while promoting overall wellness in a correctional healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities - Assess nutritional needs of patients, including those with acute and chronic medical conditions and special diet requirements - Develop, implement, and monitor therapeutic and medically prescribed diets - Provide individualized and group nutrition education and counseling as clinically indicated - Ensure menus meet nutritional adequacy, food safety, and regulatory standards - Collaborate with medical, nursing, mental health, and food service staff to support patient care - Document nutrition assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the health record - Monitor food service operations for compliance with sanitation and safety requirements Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field - Current Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential - Valid California licensure, if required Nightingale's List Job ID ZR217JOBT.
