Emergency Department Overview: The Clinical Nursing Supervisor for
the Emergency Department is responsible for overseeing patient care
operations, offering clinical guidance and leadership to nursing
personnel. This role involves coordinating, implementing, and
assessing care delivery while managing assigned administrative
tasks. An active RN license and relevant nursing experience are
essential, as the supervisor also acts as a clinical resource and

within designated areas. The supervisor serves as a clinical
resource for both staff and patients in the department and may
function as a staff nurse when required. Additionally, they take on
managerial responsibilities as assigned by the department manager,

Supervisor , you will be instrumental in planning, coordinating,
implementing, and evaluating patient care and operations in
specific areas. You will act as a clinical resource for staff and
patients, stepping into a staff nurse role as needed, and will also
undertake managerial tasks as delegated by the department manager.

service standards. Qualifications Education: Completion of an
accredited nursing program. Experience: At least 2 years of direct
patient care experience is required. Licensure: Must possess a
current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license,
fulfilling all state board of nursing requirements. Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart
Association (or completion within 30 days of hire). Preferred
Qualifications: Prior supervisory experience Bachelor’s degree in
