    • Experience with high dimensional statistics.About the JobGoogle is one of the pioneers of modern digital advertising, enabling a growing and open internet advertising ecosystem that supports millions of users, publishers, and advertisers. Modern digital advertising relies on a mutually-reinforcing cycle of ad-sales, ad-planning, ad-implementation/optimization, and ad-measurement. Ad-measurement is critical to this cycle and consequently to the business. Google's advertising measurement team focuses on combining data at scale with formal science to make this possible, helping make advertising useful and delightful to users, and valuable and results-driven for advertisers and publishers.As a Data Scientist working on Ads Insights and Measurement, you will develop, evaluate, and improve the entire range of Google's advertising products, including Search, Display, Apps, TV, and Video (YouTube). You will collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, analysts, and product managers to develop new science and translate it into deployed products at scale. You will also play a key role in developing new ideas and methods that drive ad measurement and business generation, including paradigm-shifting ad-measurement science and products for the privacy-preserving future of digital advertising. In doing so, you will be a key part of building and driving impact on large-scale ad-systems both at Google and in the ad-tech and mar-tech industry globally.Responsibilities
      • Use custom data infrastructure or existing data models as appropriate, using specialized knowledge. Design and evaluate models to mathematically express and solve defined problems with limited precedent.
      • Help suggest, support, and shape new data-driven and privacy-preserving advertising and marketing products in collaboration with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams.
      • Collaborate with teams to define relevant questions about advertising effectiveness, incrementality assessment, the impact of privacy, user behavior, brand building, aiming, bidding, and developing and implementing quantitative methods to answer those questions.
      • Work with large, complex data sets. Solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems, applying advanced problem-solving methods as needed. Conduct end-to-end analyses that include data gathering and requirements specification, Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), model development, and written and verbal delivery of results to business partners and executives.Google is proud to be an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
