Night Shift - Monday - Friday 6pm to 6:30amPerform preventative, predictive, and routine electrical maintenance tasks to troubleshoot production and facilities electrical issues and repair failures in a timely manner to ensure continuous production. Assist in mechanical repairs.Essential Functions:Setup, install, adjust, and maintain production equipment including conveyors, automation, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, encoders, variable frequency drives,KPI's for performance of the maintenance function (equipment reliability & overall equipment effectiveness).Equipment Maintenance - Perform routine, predictive, and preventative maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed. Inspect regularly and as needed to ensure proper operation.Complex Problem Solving - Identify complex problems of power generation and review related information to develop and evaluate options. Implement effective solutions.Developing new or alternative ways of utilizing electricity or other energy sources to improve efficiency or cost savings. Seek to improve product quality, production waste and production line utilization and availability.Ability to work on or working knowledge of pumps, motors, gearboxes, chains and couplings.High and low voltage electrical troubleshooting.PLC and drive troubleshooting.Welding, fabrication, etc. is a plus.Participate in plant safety, health, and environmental programs.Comply with all safety and company policies and procedures.Other duties as needed or assigned; ability to carry out mechanical work as needed. Required Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:Minimum 5 years experience of electrical background and/or electro/mechanical.License preferable but not required.Working knowledge of Siemens/Allen Bradley/ and or other controls hardwareWorking knowledge of safety circuitsWorking knowledge of 24DC ,110 and 460V ACExperience with old and modern manufacturing equipmentDesign - effective knowledge of electrical design, with ability to read, understand, and alter plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.Computers - effective knowledge of computer hardware and softwareElectronics - effective knowledge of electronic equipment and systemsJudgment and Decision Making - consideration of the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate oneAble to work in time sensitive and sometimes stressful situationsAble to work independently, prioritize tasks and do researches to find answers in some cases with little guidanceAble to follow directions, procedures, and guidelines as directed by supervisorAble to work in a non-climate-controlled environment with outdoor exposureAvailable to work overtime, weekends, and changing shifts, as neededMust have a high level of attention to detailMust be organized, thorough, reliable, and dependablePhysical Requirements:Ability to work up to 12 hour per day. Hours, days and shifts depend on season and production schedule, and are not guaranteed.Ability sit, stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, crouch, lean, reach, twist, and other physical movements required for this type of work for extended periods of time.Ability to work in conditions typical of a manufacturing environment as indicated below under "Working Environment".Ability to wear prescribed personal protective equipment and appropriate attire.Ability to lift 50 lbs.Ability to read, write, type, and verbally communicate fluently in English.Must be able to effectively use a computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and commonly used software to complete necessary functions.Must have finger dexterity, visual acuity, discernment of sounds, color, and texture.Must be able to use tools, equipment, machinery, etc.Must be reliable and dependable.Must have the physical and mental ability to drive a standard forklift successfully. AWIP will certify.Working Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, electricity, dusty conditions, high noise environments, chemicals used in the process, and extreme temperatures.
