• EAP ProgramJob DetailsJob Details:We are a Top 400 ENR Full Service General Contractor in the Construction industry, seeking a dynamic, experienced, and detail-oriented Senior Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our pre-construction and project bidding processes, focusing on commercial ground-up, multifamily, and mixed-use projects. This is an opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment. Responsibilities:1. Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for select trades.2. Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring that we receive the best quality, value, and customer service.3. Lead the pre-construction team in the preparation of budgets, estimates, and pre-construction schedules.4. Review design documents for potential cost and constructability issues.5. Participate in the proposal preparation and client presentation process.6. Assist in the negotiation of contracts with subcontractors and vendors.7. Coordinate with project management teams to follow up on bids and budgets until project completion.8. Continuously update and maintain an accurate cost database to be used as a resource for future projects.9. Collaborate with the project team to ensure that estimates are accurate and reflect the scope of the project.Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.2. Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience as a Commercial Construction Estimator.3. Proficient in pre-construction, estimating, project estimating, and cost estimating.4. Demonstrated experience in project bidding, specifically in "Commercial Ground Up", "multifamily", and mixed-use projects.5. Strong understanding of pre-construction processes.6. Proficient in all areas of commercial construction estimating.7. Excellent communication skills with a customer service orientation.8. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and attention to detail.9. Proficient with MS Office software (Excel, Word, and Outlook in particular) and estimating software.10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.11. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to deal with customers, subcontractors, and vendors.12.
