Job Description Job Description Job Title: Repair Technician About the Role Join our dynamic team specializing in the manufacture and service of advanced brake and HVAC systems for mass transit companies . As a Repair Technician, you will play a key role in repairing and overhauling pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment. Starting with brake system assembly and repair, you’ll have opportunities to earn HVAC certification and expand your technical expertise. Key Responsibilities Disassemble, clean, and inspect equipment to determine repair needs. Perform initial evaluations and document findings in a Technician Evaluation Report . Route wires, install crimp terminations, and connectors. Conduct component-level and system-level testing; record and analyze results. Interpret readings from gauges, indicators, and dials. Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance and calibration. Troubleshoot pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues. Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment. Ensure adherence to quality, product safety, and HSE standards. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: 3 years in assembly, repair, and troubleshooting. Proficiency with hand and power tools. Ability to read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and schematics. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. Familiarity with preventative maintenance and calibration procedures. Preferred Skills Mechanical inspection tools and tooling experience. Time management and problem-solving skills. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word for data entry and reporting. Why Join Us? Shop environment with AWS 4x10 schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM , with occasional Friday availability. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Union City, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.62 - $25.62/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
